Any time of the year is a great time to visit Sedona. It is truly a magical place! However, visiting in the winter, especially during or after a snowfall, is one of the most beautiful. The Winter snowfall season usually starts around the end of November and lasts until February. While most think of Arizona as desert and high temperatures, most of the state experiences four seasons, including Sedona. In the mornings and evenings, the temps can be pretty cold if not freezing, while temps during the day can be pretty mild and sunny. Keep in mind that Seona is in northern Arizona. The temperatures can vary considerably from midday to evenings and mornings in the high desert, so be prepared with proper winter clothing.

The beautiful snow-capped Red Rocks and crisp mountain air makes for a perfect time to explore and enjoy the beauty without the crowds. The winter months in Sedona can be a slower season which means hotel rates are lower, it's easier to book that spa appointment, and getting into that restaurant you've heard about should be a lot easier. Most recreation providers are open year-round, and who wouldn't want to take a jeep tour after a beautiful snowfall!

It doesn't matter what time of the year you visit Sedona. It's always beautiful!
