Havasupai Pride '2019 ️🌈
Not sure where to even start with this post, but life sometimes comes at you hard and fast. I was on a family trip with David, Jimmy and the kids when I had a call from @chefgabebertaccini inviting me to go on a hiking trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon for four days.
After a little hesitation, I was encouraged by the family to go as this would, for sure, be an opportunity that does come around very often. I drove home, went to the store to buy ALL the camping equipment that was required as I had nothing to spend four days at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
I only knew Gabe and would be meeting the 14 people we would be traveling with at 5 am at the trailhead - ready for the 9-mile hike to the Lodge at Havasupai Falls. Everyone was very friendly, we all made the needed introductions and started the trek down the canyon.
It was nice to spend the next 4-hours getting to know everyone. I learned very quickly that this was a very friendly and diverse group of people. The next three days could not have been any better; we had an epic adventure hiking and exploring the most beautiful sites America has to offer. I often think I have to travel around the world to see such beauty when it's been in my backyard for the last 14 years that I have lived here and didn't know. I am going to spend another week soon, exploring more of Arizona and Utah so more adventures soon...
This trip to Havasupai Falls had nature, hikes, waterfalls, camping, and Beyonce (can you fucking believe it) also 12 of the hottest and sweetest gay men from around the USA and one Queen from Chicago to keep me company! But more on them later...
Here are some of my favorite pics from the trip. If you love nature and hiking, this is maybe my favorite place in the world at the moment. I was blown away by the beauty of this area and will be back next year. Havasupai Pride July 4th, 2020 :-) #grandcanyon #havasupaifalls #gaytravel #pride #havasupaipride
Any time of the year is a great time to visit Sedona. It is truly a magical place! However, visiting in the winter, especially during or after a snowfall, is one of the most beautiful. The Winter snowfall season usually starts around the end of November and lasts until February.
Founded on the sands of Palm Beach in 1896, our resort’s story has been one of strong roots ever since - holding true to our values while evolving in a changing world. In the late 1890s, just before the turn of the century, industry tycoons and elegant socialites began flocking to the pristine shores of a new destination - a long strip of an island called Palm Beach.
Big Bend National Park is an American national park located in West Texas, bordering Mexico. Big Bend is one of the largest, most remote, and one of the least-visited national parks in the contiguous United States. The park has national significance as the largest protected area of Chihuahuan Desert's topography and ecology in the United States and was named after a large bend in the Rio Grande/Río Bravo.
